5th of September 2006, 4th German Anti-Spam Summit
The SpotSpam project with its pilot database and spambox implementation will be presented during the 4th German Anti-Spam Summit in Cologne, Germany. More information about the Summit can be found at this link.
4th of September 2006, SpotSpam workshop for CNSA members
This dedicated SpotSpam Workshop for CNSA members with the purpose to present the SpotSpam preparatory research will give the opportunity to discuss the first MoU drafts on how to gather and to share evidence. The meeting will be held in eco's premises in Cologne.
1st of March 2006, Meeting with the French database project SignalSpam
A meeting with SignalSpam was held in Paris and it was agreed that both parties strive for making the projects work complementary and even sharing technical developments to avoid overlap where possible. The parties hope to have a written agreement on the status of their discussions and plans soon. A co-operation with SignalSpam could impact the course of the project to reflect the schedule of responsibilities that might be agreed upon by the parties.
15th and 16th of February 2006, A meeting between Spotspam and Messagelabs and Spamhaus
The meeting took place in Gloucester, UK. Both Messagelabs and Spamhaus agreed that the idea of the project is good and they are interested in how EU and individual countries support or regulate the development of the database schema (e.g. spamboxes).
19th of January 2006, CNSA workshop in Brussels
The project was also presented during the CNSA workshop on the 19th of January in Brussels. A questionnaire was developed and presented to the participants of the workshop. An encouraging debate over the questions and the project took place and the CNSA members were asked to respond to the questionnaire in writing after the meeting.
11th of November 2005, Meeting between Spotspam, FTC Spambox and Industry Canada
On the 10th of November Spotspam was presented at the meeting of the American Anti Spam Inititiative MAAWG and on the 11th a meeting between Spotspam, the person in charge of the FTC Spambox and several representatives of Industry Canada who are also planning to set up a Spambox took place where the Canadians reported what they are planning and the FTC gave insight to the FTC Spambox.
3rd and 4th of November 2005, Spam Enforcement Conference in London, (DTI / CNSA)
On the 3rd of November, Spotspam was presented at the Spam Enforcement Conference in London, which was organised by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT), the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) and the CNSA.
Kickoff meeting
