eco Verband der deutschen Internetwirtschaft e.V., is the the German Internet Service Providers' Association. As a body, eco sees itself as the advocate and spokesperson of German Internet business in the relevant political, legislative and international groups.
eco currently represents approximately 300 members, including approximately 140 major providers which form the backbone of the German Internet. Additionally, eco operates the largest national data exchange called De-CIX (Deutscher Commercial Internet Exchange).
In 1996 the eco Forum established the Internet Content Task Force (ICTF). The task of ICTF is to advise members in the area of illegal and harmful material and use of the Internet and to develop counterstrategies to the downside issues of the global network.
eco is considered to be the major self-regulatory body tackling spam in Germany.

The Research and Academic Computer Network (NASK) is a research and development unit. NASK first appeared on the market in March 1991 with the task to connect the Polish scientific-academic community to the Internet.
Today NASK is a recognised telecommunication operator and authorized provider of telecommunication services. NASK is also the national domain register in .pl domain and in some functional and regional domains. CERT Polska operates within NASK. The team, created in 1996, responds to incidents involving security of the Polish Internet. It also provides proactive services, such as internet threat warnings, awareness building and trainings.
